Dental hygiene isn’t a priority in Cambodia, particularly with the marginalised who don’t know about prevention (or simply can’t afford it), and definitely can’t afford treatment.
Last weekend we held a dental clinic at Human and Hope Association, with the Angkor Dental Association providing quality treatment. I lost track of how many teeth were pulled, but throughout the whole day I only saw two children cry. Calling our villagers brave is an understatement!
A big thank you to Beleura Retirement Village Social Club for funding this clinic!
