A Cambodian Family

The average household size in Cambodia is 4.7. In my boyfriends family, there are ten people. That’s right – a mother, father, six sons and two daughters. The kids range in age from 13 – 35, so there is quite a big age gap! As you can tell, most of Seyla’s brothers look like him. If I am not wearing my glasses I often mistake them for Seyla! A couple of weeks ago I went to Seyla’s mothers house to take a photo for our visa application. I didn’t want to let this opportunity go to waste, so I took more photos than required so I could print them for Seyla’s mother and frame one for her. Although four of her children have moved out of home, they are still a close-knit family, so when we wanted to get everyone together for these photos they dropped everything to be there. Now THAT’S a good family!

Father, mother and children

I just had to take this photo as it reminded me of The Brady Bunch

In front of their old house which they are selling soon.

With some grandchildren added to the mix.

Had to get a photo with me in it!
