Every once in awhile, Seyla and I venture out of the house on the weekends. Usually we are too tired from cleaning, cooking and recuperating after a working week, however because we recently had a long weekend we had the energy to do so.

We didn’t have to go far to get to Wat Bo, which is about a three minute drive from our house. Wat Bo was built in the 18th century in Siem Reap, and is spread out over a large piece of land. In fact, they are currently expanding the premises by building an additional pagoda. There are many stupas, new and old, to be found on the land, in addition to  refectory, accomodation, a radio station and school for Monks.

We didn’t have the opportunity to go inside the pagoda to view the paintings, however I have heard that it is worth the visit.
