Last weekend we were fortunate enough to have both Saturday and Sunday off, due to Labour Day. Not wanting to stay in bed the WHOLE time watching Netflix, Seyla and I visited Wat Preah Prom Rath after a surprising (and welcomed) rain shower. This is a pagoda I drive past every single day, yet have only been inside a couple of times. Located close to old market, this pagoda is big, beautiful, clean and quiet.
The pagoda is said to have been established 500 years ago by a Monk who landed ashore on a piece of his sinking boat. The buildings, however, are from the 20th century. Entry is free, so it is a place I recommend visiting if you are in Siem Reap!
